Work with a leader in Office-based Surgery

Shafic Sraj, MD, MBA, CPE, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and a nationally recognized pioneer in wide-awake, in-office hand surgery. With subspecialty certification in surgery of the hand and three fellowships spanning hand surgery, upper extremity surgery, and sports medicine, Dr. Sraj brings rare depth of training to one of the most innovative approaches in modern orthopedic care.

Dr. Sraj has spent his career advancing in-office surgery as a safer, more convenient alternative to traditional hospital operating rooms — eliminating general anesthesia, reducing costs, and allowing patients to return home the same day with minimal disruption to their lives. He has delivered multiple instructional lectures and authored several peer-reviewed articles on in-office techniques, and has been recognized as a top 1% clinical researcher in orthopedics in both 2024 and 2025.

Before entering private practice, Dr. Sraj served as an associate professor at West Virginia University for nearly a decade, training generations of orthopedic surgeons. He has been in practice since 2010.

What sets Dr. Sraj apart is his belief that surgery is a collaboration. During wide-awake procedures, patients are active participants — able to see results in real time, ask questions, and help shape the plan for their recovery. It's an experience that redefines what surgery can feel like.
